KIDS WITH A HEART AWARD is an annual event validating island and North Kitsap youth whose acts of service, integrity, courage and environmental stewardship have benefited others. Youth are nominated, September through October, by community members other than their parents or family. A recognition ceremony in November and public announcements serve to celebrate our youth acts of compassion with neighbors and community members.
JAMS SALES are a tasty way to support BYS activities. Bainbridge Youth Service jams are grown and packaged in Washington on Lopez Island. They are labeled at the BYS office and may be shipped anywhere in the US, especially during the December holidays. Great tasting, all of the ten flavors are a wonderful treat. Jams sell for $6 a jar at the BYS Office in the Commodore Center and Town & Country Market, Winslow.

FOURTH OF JULY FUN RUN is an annual event that includes 5K, 1 Mile and Kids Dash runs. All events take place early morning of July 4 on Bainbridge Island in Winslow. Runners may register prior to the day of event or day of event. This event raises funds for BYS programs and builds awareness of BYS services while at the same time offering youth and adults a healthy opportunity for pushing their own limits. CHILLY HILLY is an annual bicycle ride that takes place in February on Bainbridge Island. The event is sponsored by the Cascade Bicycle Club. BYS helps to staff the route, providing cyclists with support, water and directions. Proceeds from event registration help provide funding for BYS’ no cost programs for youth.
ONE CALL FOR ALL is an island fundraising effort for social and humanitarian services. Bainbridge Youth Services participates in the Island-wide fundraising campaign. If you are interested in making a donation directly to BYS, please contact BYS Executive Director, Lois Lee, 780-1849.
